Today is my 10th anniversary at my company.
Actually, it’s tomorrow, but since tomorrow is Saturday, I’m celebrating it today. And by celebrating, I mean working as usual without acknowledging the occasion, same as everyone else here.

One of my co-workers washes his ham.
Before lunch, he takes deli ham and washes it in the sink before eating it.
I’ve only personally witnessed him doing this once, but rumors abound that this is not uncommon for him.

I just gave Bailey a pill. I’ve never given a cat a pill before. When I was younger, between working in the kennels and my own dogs at home, I used to administer pills to dogs all the time. I was pretty good at it, if I may be so humble.

Bailey is resting comfortably. She hasn’t been vomiting. Urinalysis indicates that she was very dehydrated, and it’s possible that the high BUN numbers are due, at least in part, to the dehydration and not necessarily acute renal failure. She’s still dehydrated, so they want to keep her at least another day, giving her IV fluids, and recheck her blood once she’s...
