Timing

  • Aidan: Can I call [friend across the street] to see if she can play?
  • Me: In a little while, it's still early.
  • Aidan: It's 8:50.
  • Me: I know, but it's Sunday, and usually you wait until a little later on Sundays to call people.
  • Five seconds later the phone rings.
  • Aidan (looking at the caller ID): It's [friend across the street].
