Book Desert II
Barnes and Noble was sold out of the book. Now, it’s possible that those other stores I visited had been selling the book, but were also sold out. But I doubt it. Nothing about their “selection” indicated to me that they would have even carried it. Still, even if they had carried it, that doesn’t invalidate my premise that I live in a book desert. The outlets around here that carry books carry such a small amount that I don’t know why they bother at all. In fact, Barnes and Noble might have been sold out because it was the only place around selling it.
I’ll have to order the book online, which is fine in that I’ll probably get cheaper than if I had bought it at a store. But I wanted to start reading it tonight.
